Draft and some printed and signed indentures (some having been annotated and re-used as a draft indenture for another apprentice). A parent or guardian (the father or stepfather unless the mother was a widow) was always the first party to the agreement for apprenticeship of a minor (under 21), but for clarity the list gives the name of the apprentice with a note "son of" etc. The age of a minor is recorded, the average being 15 or 15-18, a few (noted in the list) were 13-14. Most apprenticeships were for a term of 5 years, a few longer and occasionally shorter.

Wood of Hawkridge, Snakebanks, concerning his financial distress, debts, loans from Leake, mortgages on his property, attempts to sell "Windfalls" etc.; Leake to take his property and assets in trust (1844), meetings of creditors; some letters from Louis Wood when Wood was ill. Also promissory notes, accounts, letters from John Swan (1844, 1846, 1850) and Henry Priaulx (1844). Wood's letters frequently mention his wife's poor health and his own illness and also include general references: servants 1834-6); sun dial (10 Sept. 1836); ball (14 May 1842); river flooded 350 acres of corn (14 Sept. 1842); rebuilding river banks (Oct. 1842); fire damage in Hamburg (2 Oct. 1842).

Stereoscopic views (i.e. pairs of photographs, 2 & half ins. X 3 ins. Taken with twin lenses about 6 ins. apart and mounted to be viewed through a "stereoscope" to give a three dimensional effect). Most were made for general sale by S Clifford, Hobart Town (some also have the stamp of T Williamson, Chemist, or d'Emden, who presumably sold them). One is endorsed ms "M Allport 1862" (Queechy), a well-known amateur photographer, and a few are on plain, unprofessional mounts, one of these being initialed in pencil "J M W".
