List of Tasmanian Ferns - Manuscript list, bound into quarto volume. Date and author unknown.

Plates from unknown work published by E. Noblet, Liege [Belgium] The plates show drawings of various machinery for coal mining, including carriages, compressed air system, lifts, pumps, digging machines, props, etc. and drawings of mines and coal seams of the mines of the Meuse and Ruhr. Legends at the top of each plate are in French, with English and German translations below the plate.

Black and white photographs of Claremont military camp in about 1915 and the Cadbury chocolate factory and Claremont Golf Club built on the same site, many showing the factory, its surroundings and staff.

Collection consists of academic gowns worn by staff and students of the University of Tasmania.

Box of photos and negatives belonging to Mrs Webster with a note from Fred Kolhoff. Subjects include early logging scenes, Rocky Hills and Mayfield, miscellaneous historic Hobart and Port Arthur.

Housekeeping accounts kept by a Hobart housewife with a husband and four daughters . The mother had attended the Zerco Business School in Hobart after leaving school and, no doubt because of her training, kept careful, detailed accounts of all minor cash payments for housekeeping expenses. These accounts were entered in octavo cash books or diaries and include details of each purchase or expense, totalled at the end of each page. Cash payments included groceries, meat, vegetables, fruit, bread, milk and also occasional minor expenses
such as "shirts", "clinic", gas, cleaner, shoes, shoe repair, sweets, tram fares and later petrol, creche, nappies. There were occasional treats such as cake, pictures
[movies], theatre, ices, "solo losses", tennis, and incidentals such as raffle tickets, church magazine, Sunday School magazine, chiropodist. The accounts only record small cash payments, possibly from a housekeeping allowance, and not major expenses such as house rates, rent or repairs, insurance, clothing or household furnishing, school or medical expenses. They are, however, a useful record of the cost of basic foods.

A collection of pamphlets articles - newspaper cuttings compiled by W.N. Hurst and notes made by him on topics of historical interest. A rough index was made by Hurst (R.S.23/6) and W.H. Hudspeth compiled an index to the collection when it was received by the Royal Society (R.S.23/8).
