Graham condenser (Inland Revenue). Used for standard Inland Revenue test and control methods by brewers etc, the Inland Revenue condenser employs the use of coolant flow outside the coil. This condenser is very efficient but must not be used for fast rates of distillation. It is particularly useful for removing condensable vapours from non-condensable gases. Gold License issued to George Elliot on October 1858 by P.C.. Crespigny, Commissioner. To meet the expense of securing order and to restrain unauthorised mining on Crown land, a local Act of January 1852 imposed on all diggers a license fee of 30 shillings per month, the penalty for mining without a license being £6 for the first offence and afterwards imprisonment for terms up to six months
1 scrip certificate from the Godkin Silver Mining Company, No Liability, Whyte River, Tasmania. Twenty shares upon which the sum of twenty shillings per share has been paid. One double sided folio leaf , containing glosses and extracts on legal matters from the Codex lustinianus. The sheets were pasted inside the covers of C. Plinius Secundus, 'Diuinum opus cui titulus historia mundi,' J. Froenius, Basle 1525. The book was formerly owned by Rev. F.R. Nixon who deposited it in the Diocesan Library in Hobart whence it passed at an unknown date to the Library of Christ College.

Photograph of Glen Gala House at Cranbrook. Adam Amos arrived in March 1821 in the Emerald along with George Meredith, and was advised to look for land on the unsettled east coast. Adam's capital entitled him to a grant of 1000 acres (405 ha) which he located on the Swan River at Cranbrook, and called Gala. Glen Gala is a two storey brick Victorian Georgian house constructed in 1860 on the original grant to Adam Amos
